Coffee with DesiReview
Coffee Name: Nescafe Classic
Purchased at Patidar – An Indian Grocery Store
Nescafé is a brand of coffee made by Nestlé.
It is found in many countries. The Desi version is found in many Desi stores. I decided to give it a try and see how the imported version tastes. I have been curious with all the different coffee brands on the shelves.
Below is our review of the coffee
Texture of powder – Big Flakes
Fragrance of coffee powder – Mild
Fragrance after making the coffee - Weak
Color – Medium Brown after beating it with sugar
Color after mixing with milk - Light
Thickness after beating with sugar – Light creamy - Was not able to get it to thicken.
Coffee Thickness after mixing with milk – Thin not creamy
Flavor – Just Okay, Not wow. Slightly mild coffee flavor.
Is it worth to buy? – Maybe if no other choice available
Value – Overpriced based on size – Size 1.76 oz Bought for 4.49 @ Patidar
Aldi had Nescafe Clasico 7oz for 4.94. Notice the Clasico name vs the one reviewed above. Will be testing it in a future review.
1. I mixed 1 tsp of Nescafe Coffee Classic and 1 tsp of sugar with few drops of water and started mixing it for about 1.5 - 2 minutes.
2. The color did not form well. Generally with other instant coffee you see a milk chocolate or caramel color and creamy.
3. It took a lot of stirs to try to get it to thicken and have the color slightly change. Then I boil half a cup of milk and pour it into the Nescafe cup and stirred it.
We would love to hear your comments!
Thanks,
